Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi has won most Man Of The Match awards. He has grabbed a total of 15 awards so far. This feat was achieved in 36 matched from 2006 to 2018. The next in line is Indian Skipper Virat Kohli with 10 Man Of The Match awards. Kohli played 65 International T20 matches to get the awards. He has the chance to overtake Afridi since Afridi announced his retirement in 2018. Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Mohammad Nabi, Mohammad Shahzad, and Mohammad Hafeez hold the next best record of 9 Man Of The Match awards.

Moving to the ODI format, the God of the Cricket, Indian Batsman Sachin Tendulkar, has the most number of Man Of The Match awards, grabbing 62 awards. Sanath Jayasurya falls next in the list with 48 Man Of The Match awards. Following these two legends is again Kohli with 32 Man Of The Match awards. Here, too, Kohli has the chance to grab the first spot since the first 2 batsmen declared their retirement long back.

In the Test cricket format, Jacques Kallis from South Africa has the most number of Man Of The Match awards with 23 awards in the pocket. Muttiah Muralitharan gets the second spot with 19 Man Of The Match awards. The third spot is grabbed by Wasim Akram with 17 Man Of The Match awards.

Speaking of all formats combined, Sachin Tendulkar gets 76 Man Of The Match awards overall, grabbing the first spot. In general, he played 664 matches (comprising with 14 tests and 62 ODI). Sanath Jayasurya gets the second spot with 58 Man Of The Match awards. In general, he played 586 matches (comprising with 4 tests and 48 ODI). South Africa’s Jacques Kallis gets the third spot with 57 Man Of The Match awards. In general, he played 519 matches (comprising with 23 tests and 32 ODI). Since all these players are retired, Kohli has the chance to grab the first spot here as well. He has 50 Man Of The Match awards. In general, he played 368 matches (comprising with 8 tests and 32 ODI).
